OUTSIDE SALES – Women’s Apparel Sales Representative

 

Pine Apparel is seeking a sales representative to travel the established territory of MINK (Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas).

The ideal candidate will celebrate working with unique clothing and welcome daily interactions with store buyers on location in their business and participation at regional trade shows. Experience merchandising apparel, wholesale gift or clothing sales and exposure to social media marketing is a plus. The ability to display fashion apparel, understand fabrics, knowledge of women's apparel sizing and industry terms are preferred.

Our sales reps are responsible for managing existing accounts and growing new business by selling our collection of clothing to independent retailers, boutiques and small chains. The territory is well developed with existing customers and significant growth potential. A qualified candidate should possess a true entrepreneurial spirit and self-motivation with the ability & willingness to be away from home at least 3 to 4 nights most weeks. This position requires a hands-on professional with the ability to overcome obstacles, manage existing customers and aggressively prospect for new business.

What are we looking for in a strong candidate?

  • Experience working with buyers on product selection and selling into small specialty retailers across the US in apparel, accessories or gifts categories
  • Ability to maintain and increase sales across specialty retail boutiques and gift shops
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time
